clover4: rpol.net Orpheus Game

Okay, the account is created! It's under:

Horror
-Orpheus

I actually snagged Orpheus as the name, so no confusion as to what's what. The GM's name is: Josephine Wolff. My account name on rpol.net is: Abydos641

I'll see about flipping through my books and setting up some preliminary posts tonight/tomorrow. In the meantime, everyone go through your books and pick out what you'd like to play. All spirits are welcome except Organ Grinders, cause they require a bit more involvement in their creation. However, if you would like to play a grinder drop me a line, and if you have a good backstory and strong case for it, then hell, all's a go.

I'm really looking for interesting characters. They don't have to be 100 percent unusual never before seen, but just something you'd really enjoy playing. That alone is enough.

You can design knowing full well that Orpheus exists, and working for them (either many years, recently recruited, etc.) or you can create a character that knows nothing of Orpheus, and is scared as hell cause weird shit keeps happening. All ages are okay (I happen to like diversity, so a 60+ character or an 8 year old is fine by me) and use the stains, dementations, and so forth to full effect.

We are only as bright as the shadow we cast.

It might take a week to get this game off the ground, so take the time to really think about your character. I want this to be fun, involved, and terrifying.

Boo.

Remedios Orton used to be such a good girl.

Half-German and half-Peruvian, Remedios had a relatively uneventful childhood. The younger of two girls, she developed a warm but introverted personality. She had a modest number of friends in high school, got decent grades, and generally didn't make trouble. College was similar; she was pretty and charming, but unassertive. These qualities eventually attracted Ivan Orton, a handsome and wealthy young man. Upon Remedios' graduation, Ivan proposed. The two were wed under much pomp and circumstance and went off to live in marital bliss.

But Remedios was not all that she appeared. Her introversion hid a passionate and towering dream-life, a world of dark romance and fantasy that she took comfort in. She loved her husband, of course, but his security and plainness bored the living hell out of her dreams. And, slowly, her dreams began to take matters into their own hands.

Remedios has been skimming for about four years now. She eased into it, unconsciously at first, but eventually with more purpose. About six months ago, she finally mastered the practice and can now project at will. And she uses her power, as well as her ability to cast illusions, to step out behind her husband's back and live the life she has always imagined: dark, deadly, and full of grandeur.

Remedios is a Dreamer/Bumpkin of the Phantasm Shade. She is a Skimmer. She has had no contact with Orpheus, but that is undoubtedly going to change as she becomes bolder in her outings.

And, by the way, I saw the ad on Nocturnis and joined, because I love Orpheus. My new ID on rpol is "ohjames." Uh... yeah?

Wonderful! Could you do me a favor, and send me an e-mail? Abydos641@hotmail.com

I'll add you to rpol.net now, and reread your character info tomorrow. From the looks of it, we'll be starting on Monday. I'm going to sit and finalize a few things Sunday evening, and put up location and a few starting posts on Monday.
